Mapping for me was the most fun project; the concept of tracing somebody’s journey with materials was a new challenge that taught me how to visualize things differently. What I discovered was that Interior Design is a wide range of ideas and theories with a conclusion of personal space. A very interesting project that proves my statement is the mapping of a book how we had to define which sections we thought were the most inspiring, each student went their own way with the project and I thought of creating something more artistic than making just a simple map, I designed the book in a way which I found very exciting, by cutting out parts and sticking them together, bending the pages and creating patterns that show the most interesting chapters of the book. My creativity was awaken making me produce an interesting project and at the same time experimenting with different materials and ideas.
Survey is a new term that I've learned during these 3 weeks of study, it's recording and analyzing information which will then outcome to a result of plans/sections and significant details in the interior design area.
